Last updated: January 2025

Agreement to Terms

By accessing our website or purchasing products from Penn State Containers, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or services.

Products and Services

Penn State Containers sells new, used, and specialty shipping containers with delivery services to customers in Eastern and Central Pennsylvania, Southern Tier of NY, Mid-Hudson Valley, and New Jersey.

All containers are sold as described. Used containers are inspected and graded for condition. We accurately represent the condition of all products and will disclose any known defects or issues.

Pricing and Payment

  • All prices are quoted in US dollars and are subject to change without notice until a sales agreement is finalized
  • Quotes are valid for the time period specified (typically 7 days unless otherwise noted)
  • Delivery fees are calculated based on distance and site accessibility
  • Payment terms will be agreed upon at the time of purchase

Delivery Terms

Delivery of shipping containers requires:

  • A suitable delivery location with adequate space and ground conditions for placement
  • Clear access for delivery trucks (typically requires 12 feet of width and overhead clearance)
  • Customer responsibility for obtaining any necessary permits or permissions
  • Customer presence or authorized representative at delivery

Delivery dates are estimates and may be affected by weather, equipment availability, or other factors beyond our control. We will communicate any delays as soon as possible.

Inspection and Acceptance

Customers are encouraged to inspect containers upon delivery. Any concerns about condition should be noted at the time of delivery. Claims for damage or defects not noted at delivery must be reported within 48 hours of delivery.

Returns and Refunds

Due to the nature of our products and delivery costs, all sales are generally final. However, we stand behind our products. If a container does not match its description or has undisclosed defects, please contact us immediately to discuss resolution options.

Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

  • Verifying that a shipping container is permitted on their property according to local zoning laws and HOA regulations
  • Preparing the delivery site appropriately (level ground, proper drainage, accessibility)
  • Obtaining any required permits for container placement
  • Providing accurate delivery information

Limitation of Liability

Penn State Containers liability is limited to the purchase price of the container. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use or inability to use our products or services.
